No tickets are required to attend departmental open houses although some do request an RSVP for attendance. The 2018 Family Weekend schedule of departmental open houses will be updated as events are added.

During this open house event, those interested in the study of geography, geology, or environmental sciences can meet with program faculty and students and tour the facilities including classrooms, research laboratories, and the geology rock museum. Illinois State University's National Student Speech Language Hearing Association cordially invites you to Family Day on Saturday, October 27. Location: Matthiessen State Park Pavilion, Utica
Geology, at its most fundamental level, is a field based science. This field trip is designed for geology majors and their families. This trip will be by auto caravan (provide your own transportation) and will visit the Geology of Matthiessen and Buffalo Rock State parks, and pending permission, some of the local quarries.
